Microsoft likely plans to release new Windows 12 in 2024

Microsoft has now changed the way it drops its Windows update, which could be one of the main reasons why we may see a new version of Windows 12 available in 2024.

According to a new report from Windows Central, Microsoft has moved back to the loop or cycle of dropping the update every 3 years, so that means a newer version of Windows, or possibly Windows 12, is promising. That will arrive during the coming 2024.

Microsoft has been trying to break out of this three-year update update cycle since Windows 10 was dropped in 2015, prioritizing the idea that Windows is a service. However, these habits changed after Microsoft released Windows 11, which made many people expect that major updates on the next generation of Windows will come with the Windows renaming.

So far, we have not seen Microsoft release any major updates to Windows 11, which has led many users to speculate that the company may be working on Windows 12 and possibly. Save the major updates to the new version of Windows 12.
